Maternity Portfolio+Pricing

Maternity Portraits take place on location between weeks 30 and 35 of your pregnancy.  Whether this is your first pregnancy or your third, each one is unique and special and deserves to be celebrated.  

Most maternity sessions take place in the Raleigh area (Raleigh, Garner, Fuquay-Varina, Apex, Cary) but I love to travel!

The Maternity Experience

1.) Visit the Contact page to let me know how psyched you are to book! 

2.) I respond to emails within 24 hours, often before 12.  Communication is a top priority which is why as a client you receive my social media pages (Facebook, Instagram) as well as my phone number.  This is increasingly important if you choose to book a birth plan as well.  Read more about our Birth photography here (opens in new window) 

3.) I believe in talking one on one versus sending emails back and forth.  This is such an amazing thing  you're doing - creating a life.  It deserves a real conversation which is why after the initial email, we will schedule a phone call to chat more and so we can learn more about each other.  From this phone call, we set up an in person meeting at a local small business (such as an ice cream or coffee shop) where I will show you my heirloom products and we go over the contract together.  Doing this in person makes misunderstandings a rarity as you are able to ask any questions you want and receive immediate answers.  

4.) At the time of booking, the contract must be signed and the retainer paid in order for the booking to be completed.  

5.) Congratulations and Welcome! Now the fun begins :)  

6.) Since we'll be spending a lot of time together (especially if you also decide to book birth, newborn, one year plan, etc....), it's super important to me that we get to know each other on a personal level.  This starts with a couple of getting to know you questionnaires which I've filled out as well with my favorite movies, sports team, and more. By the time we do your session, I want you to feel like you've known me for years... the more comfortable you are, the better the photos are going to turn out!  

7.) Prior to  your session, we will design your session - everything from the location to your outfits and customizing your session to coordinate with your home and baby's room.  

8.) Session fees must be paid in full one week before the session.  I accept cash, checks, paypal, and any credit or debit card.  All forms of payment come with receipts for your records.  

9.) Your session will be between an hour to an hour and a half on average. Within 24 hours of your session, I will post a preview on social media.  

10.) While editing, I will post an average of 2-3 more previews.  

11.) 2-3 weeks after your session, we will get together again for your Reveal and Ordering Session.  This can either take place in  your home or another location where you will view your images in a slideshow set to music followed by individually to pick your favorite photos.  From there I will walk you through which products will be best as well as which ones you are most interested in.  I am a hybrid styled business which means I sell heirloom, archival quality products as well as digital files.  Most clients get a customized package with a mixture of the two.   

12.) Product delivery takes an average of 2-6 weeks depending on what you order.  If you order downloadable digital files, they are available within 24 hours. Albums can take up to 8-10 weeks depending on design changes and lab turnaround.  


Maternity Sessions are $150 and include 5 downloadable digital files. 

Maternity sessions can be mom only, couples, or families.  There are no additional charges (unless you add extended family) Please contact me with any questions on special circumstances. 

Professional hair and makeup available for additional cost.
